Spectre

Privacy policy — Spectre by Midas

Last updated:

Spectre is a reminder app for hotel reception staff. Everything you put into it stays on your phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics.

What the app stores

Your reminders (title, time, repeat rule), the record of when you marked a task done, settings, and — if you choose to take one — a photo of the completed task. All of this is kept in the app's own storage on your device (a local database and a private photo folder). Nothing is sent to Midas.

Permissions it asks for

Notifications — to remind you at the time you set; the app does not work without them. Camera — only when you tap to photograph a completed task; the photo is saved inside the app and nowhere else. On Android, exact-alarm permission so a reminder fires at the minute you chose. The app does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone or photo library.

Third parties

The app checks for updates through Expo's update service (expo.dev) when it starts. That request carries the app version and basic device information needed to pick the right update, not your reminders or photos. Beta builds are distributed through Apple's TestFlight, which has its own privacy terms. There is no advertising and no tracking SDK.

Deleting your data

Delete the app and everything it stored goes with it. Reminders can also be deleted one by one inside the app. Because nothing is on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Changes and contact

If a future version adds an account, cloud backup or any service that receives your data, this page will say so before that version ships. Questions: info@midas.ge. Operator: Davit Spanderashvili, Tbilisi, Georgia.
